The Calgary Rotary Challenger Park’s annual Family Fun Day is June 22. There will be free admission and parking, free BBQ and activities including cheerleading and wheelchair sports demonstrations, self defense, a petting zoo, and arts and crafts. It’s Indefinite Arts’ 44th Anniversary! Join them on June 18th to party! There will be a meeting from 5-5:30, then the party kicks off from 5:30 until 7:30. There will be a BBQ, activities, and, of course, an art show.

Jun 20: National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration @ Arts Commons (8 Ave SE) 10:30am-3pm. Drumming, mini Pow Wow, dancing and more. Everyone is welcome.

Jun 20: Exploring Métis Identity Past and Present @ Lougheed House (707 13 Ave SW) 5:30-8pm. This is the opening of the new summer exhibition at the Lougheed House, and a rare chance to check out an exhibit for free at this venue.

Jun 21: Currie Solstice Party @ 60 Bishop Way SW. 5-8pm. Celebrate the opening of 2 new parks, and the summer season.

Jun 22: Indigenous Day Live @ Fort Calgary, 9am-9:30pm. This events starts off with a pancake breakfast, craft vendors, and children’s corner, then there will be a Powwow, and some incredible local artists and musicians.

Jun 22: Sled Island Block Party @ 10St & 10Ave SE, Inglewood. 2-10pm. 10 performers, food truck and a pop up market.

Jun 22: Solstice in the Wetlands @ Ralph Klein Park (12350 84 St SE) 9am-Noon. Pancake breakfast, self-guided walks, crafts, and a chance to learn about the critters we share this space with.

Jun 22: Shriners Vintage Car Club Show & Shrine @ Century Downs (east of Crossiron Mills shopping mall) Check out over 250 classic and Vintage cars.

Jun 22: Yard Sale @ St Pauls’ Anglican Church (7 Sunmills Green SE) 9am-3pm.

Jun 23: Rocky Mountain Flying Trapeze Open House @ Wild Wild West Event Centre (67 Commercial Court) 11am-2pm. Free to watch people try out the trapeze, $10 for your first fly, and $5 for subsequent flys. Find out more at
